We've all made the mistake of buying something based on the picture. In that regard I am happy to report that this product looks even better once installed than in videos or pictures. You just have to see it to believe it. Once the saturation and other settings are tuned to your liking it really adds to the immersion of watching media or playing games. It's really hard to describe but it's a welcome addition to our home entertainment center.

One small note; the setup instructions can be tough to follow. It would really help if the Govee Home app provided a Google Assistant link into the devices settings during setup. I struggled to understand the directions for that part of the installation in no small part because the images and menu options provided are not up to date with the current Google Assistant/Google Home apps.

This TV backlight kit is definitely well worth the money (and it's not that much money!)
I purchased the kit as a test run to see if I liked the idea. I liked it so much I decided to "upgrade" to the Phillips Hue version, only to realize that this kit at less than a 1/4 the price is 4x better than Phillips Hue version. Needless to say I switched back! Check out our master bedroom TV with Govee T1 backlight below.

Better than Phillips Hue

You will get the biggest bang for the buck with the DreamView T1 TV Backlighting system.  It is nothing short of outstanding/brilliant!  Makes my wall and room more theatric than ever!  No matter what you view, it just accents the picture and feels better than any theater!  ...And the installation was the easiest ever!!!

The Best Adaptive Backlighting Ever!!!

These lights are a fun addition to movie night and add a lot of ambiance however the color matching is off even when you get the white to actually be white the other colors don鈥檛 match very well to what is on the screen. I still think that these are a great addition and I would certainly purchase them again

Fun addition to movie night

Despite spending over an hour trying to calibrate and troubleshoot, I was never able to get this product to properly reflect the screen's color palette. In my first image, you can see that it ignores the blues and greens altogether and glows red. In the second image, while the LEDs better reflect the majority of what is going on, it fails spectacularly at reflecting the reds and oranges in the corners. So, if you are in the market for a set of LEDs that just light up the edge of your screen, this will do what you want. If you are looking for something that even tries to reflect what is going on at the corners of your screen, this is NOT the product to buy.With that said, there are some really strong points to the Govee Immersion. Installation is very easy, while set up and calibration via the app is really well done. It's just too bad that it just doesn't do what it claims to do in the long run.

Nice backlights that are horrible at matching the screen.

I bought another ser of lights capable of dreamview, but my t1 wont update past 1.06.02 to 1.9 or higher which is what i need to achieve the setup, and before anyone says anything i did reset, delete and reinstalled and also same with the app, and restart wifi.

Great product horrible softwarw

If you have a 75” tv like me with no bezels you may want to choose the 55”-65” version over the 75”-85” one. The strips literally go all the way to the edge of my tv and they are only in about 1/2” from the edge. it was very hard to keep the wires from hanging over the edge and I can't keep the wires back enough to prevent them creating a shadow at the corners that looks ugly. Not to mention the camera is much longer on the 75”-85” version. I wish I had bought the smaller kit with the side bars for essentially the same price as this kit as it doesn't fit my tv well and I'm not happy with it but it's already stuck to the back of the tv so I can't return it.

Great… but.

The product works fantastic and was easy to assemble. It exceeded my expectations and is worth every penny if you want to make your home theater more immersive if you have a 65” screen. My only issue with it is that the box came with a hole the size of an average index finger long. The only reason I'm not returning it is because I already took the time to set it up and it works perfectly fine. But I feel like I've been scammed by getting charged full price for a product that's clearly been opened and used  but being sold with the price tag of a new unit. You can see in the tag of the packaging that it was sent from Walmart Returns, so clearly it's not new.
