As someone with a severe allergy (anaphylactic shock) to Carmine, a bug commonly used in various cosmetics and food items, finding the right mascara has been a constant struggle. In fact, I had given up on wearing makeup altogether for over 15 years! I tried other vegan mascaras before, years ago, and they all flaked off, costed a lot, and I felt bette, and looked better without wearing any. So, I gave up trying.

But as I noticed my lashes losing their fullness with age, I decided to explore the world of vegan cosmetics again. That's when I stumbled upon the Lottie London Superfake mascara, and let me tell you, it has exceeded all my expectations!

This mascara has been a game-changer me and I usually don't write reviews, but if your a lady with sensitive eyes, or allergic to carmine, this is really the best mascara I've ever had! 

From the moment I applied it, I fell head over heels in love because it went on so nice. The formula clings to my lashes, and you need VERY LITTLE of it on your brush, but I go all day without a hint of flaking, allowing me to enjoy long-lasting, smudge-free wear! And it IS smudge-free! And I personally just take a little soap and water to take it off. 

What truly sets this mascara apart is its remarkable eye-friendliness. Despite my ultra-sensitive eyes, prone to anaphylactic reactions from previous makeup encounters, this mascara has been nothing short of a blessing. Even during the removal process, where some of the mascara can get in your eye, it doesn't irritate my eyes in the slightest.

In fact, my newfound trust in the Lottie London Superfake mascara has sparked my curiosity to rediscover their other makeup products, and I'm sticking to them! After two decades of abstaining from eyeshadow, I'm now eager to try their eyeshadows next. Additionally, once their foundation color I need comes back in stock, I'll be the first in line to give it a go. It's on my wish list!

One aspect that brings an extra smile to my face is the affordable price point of this mascara. It's an exceptional value for the quality and performance it delivers. I paid 3 times this amount and that was many years ago, and it was horrible and flaked off, and I walked around with raccoon eye. So, it really is a bargain! 

I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a reliable mascara, especially those with sensitive eyes or allergies to non-vegan makeup. Trust me, this one won't disappoint.

Great!! Love It! So Happy I Found This!

I just received it so I've only worn it once. So far I really like it. I honestly have never seen my almost non-existent eyelashes appear as long as they did after I put the Lottie London Mascara on. I normally can not wear any type of mascara long since they irritate my eyes. I look forward to seeing how this one wears on me. I hope this will be the one that I can finally wear!

It worked!

It's an ok mascara. Nothing special about the brush or the formula either. It's a bit on the wet side and somehow after applying this mascara it makes my eyes itchy. But nothing serious or bad so will continue using it. Price wise it's good considering there are some good mascaras in the market which does the same job for the much cheaper price

Love the low profile applicator. And this mascara can get your lashes really long! Be careful to never twist the cap on too tight, or it will end up cracking eventually.

Great Length

I had heard good things about this mascara and I was so excited to try it. Consistency is a little more gooey than I'm used to but didn't mind it. After about two hours of wearing the mascara, the mascara has flaked so badly. I hope I just got a bad batch.

Where to start? The formula is very wet and when you try to add more to lengthen your lashes, they clump together. It might work with a better wand maybe, but as is, the mascara is junk. It doesn't lengthen, clumps your lashes, and the wand is kind of painful.

This mascara is thick and not in a good way! It's so thick, clumps the lashes together, the brush is too tiny its useless! it just globs the mascara on the lashes. the brush makes it impossible to separate or define the lashes.

My lashes are naturally curly, but when I use this mascara on it's own it uncurls them and makes them stick out straight. I've never seen a mascara do the exact opposite of what you want it to do
