DislikedThe room did not look like the room on booking’s picture. The shower in the bathroom did not work. Only a fixed part of the shower is works. There is no hot water part of the time. Everything we reported, but staff did not fix the shower. They turned off the heating and it was cold. The smell of marijuana was felt in the accommodation. This is my last time that i will make reservation with a ,,Booking” agency

DislikedNo room details received prior to arrival. No staff on site. Pub and hotel now two separate businesses. Only received room number and code via message on Booking.com, then this code didn’t work and door wouldn’t open. Contact number on booking.com didn’t work. Got a contact number from other guests who also had issue. Owner was dismissive of issues, gave me a second room when I told him he should refund me. Second code initially didn’t work and door wouldn’t open. Owner contacted ‘a friend’ who was ‘living’ at the property to assist. She also had issues with the door, also had access to all the door codes. Told me my initial room, 14, needed cleaning so not for to stay in anyway. Finally got into room which was awful, bedside lamp not even plugged in nor was there a socket. Had to move to the end of the room. Bathroom was horrible. The experience was so bad it left me very angry, concerned for my property and the lack of engagement made me late for an engagement. I converted leaving and returning home. Window was proper open with a block of wood, and when closed the sound of traffic was still really loud. Got up and left at 5am. Having stayed before I had low expectations but this time it was much much worse. I am full of regret at paying £83 to stay in a hovel, I’ve stayed in classier squats. Stair carpet was a state, there was paint marks over every carpet and the shower was dirty. Avoid

LikedI booked it for the location - I had some work in the immediate area so was convenient and looked nice in the photos online

DislikedI was left outside for nearly an hour, no-one at the property or answering the phone. Eventually I had a call then a text giving me code to access the building and my room. It does not look like the photos online, dated and in disrepair. No soap on the sink, dirty shower and the bathroom bin was already full. No towels in the room so I couldn’t have a shower if I wanted to. No kettle or tea coffee facility (which was pictured in photos online) no wardrobe or hook for clothes or coats (again they advertise these int heir photos online) so not only did I have to go to work the next day without showering, I had wrinkled clothes - because there wasn’t an iron to accompany the ironing board they provided 🤷🏼‍♀️ The bed was at least comfy enough to sleep- but otherwise I wouldn’t recommend staying here
