A review on amazon from July 2011 indicated they fit two queen-sized mattresses in the tent with room left over for gear.

Yes. That is what I used and it works fine. You'll have some room for some small items such as toiletries and a fan or a medium sized cooler but not much else.

maybe if you placed them toe to toe rather than shoulder to shoulder. We had five people in there and it was comfortably spacious. I think the 8 it is rated for would be uncomfortably tight.

Yes it can hold two queen mattresses but you'd be walking on them inside. They say it's an 8 person tent, but that's if you sleep on the ground in a sleeping bag.

It can and has in mine. But... it's tight on space. If you don't need extra room for gear or if you can leave the gear in the porch area, you'll easily get 2 queen sized air mattresses in there.

Can this tent fit two queen air mattresses?

Reviews on amazon and Coleman's website indicate it does have a floor in the screened in area but doesn't mention the thickness of the floor. Some tents use a tarp like floor and some use the same thin fabric as the walls.

The porch has a floor. It's pretty cool. 2 people could sleep in that section if more room was needed. But it's great to take your shoes off, or sit and what outside if there's bugs or the weather is rainy or snowy.

The screen porch has a floor which WILL collect rain. The rain fly does nothing to protect the porch from the elements.

has good bucket floor. However the fly is completely useless. It will flood in rain. It does have a vent along the front edge which is supposed to let the water drain. But it couldn't keep up with the flood we had in our tent.

A floor which is nice, the over hang is large enough to block the sun unless it is early or late depending on how you have it located. two folder chairs and a small table can fit for sitting in there and relaxing

The screened porch is not dirt. The floor is made of the same material as the cabin floor.

The porch area has a solid floor the same material as the tent bottom.

Does the screen porch have a floor or is it just dirt?

There is NO specific access port designed in the tent for electrical. However There is a small hole at the floor where the porch meets the tent. Where all 3 (tent, floor, and screened porch) meet there is a small opening which is designed in the fabric where you could get an extension cord through. It looks like a possible drain area for water.

Sort of. It has one on either side of the screened in porch but nothing into the main living quarters. I had to run it through the outer port and through the bottom of the front door, zipping the flap around it.

didn't see one. but we weren't using power so I wasn't really looking for it. You could easily get access via the front door out the porch.

We just used our tent for the 1st time. It was perfect for myself, my husband and almost 5 yr old daughter. We had  room for our 2 queen sized air mattresses and 3 weekender bags.  We hung the lantern and had pockets for our flashlights & phones next to our beds. My daughter & friends played in the screened in front porch so we got barely any dirt/bugs inside the tent.  My husband put it up pretty much by himself with assistance from a friend and it only took maybe 10 min! Can't wait to use it again!

Family tent

I think this tent is awesome. Plenty of space if you are less than 8 Person, we were actually only two person but were camping for close to 3 weeks in Wisconsin and Michigan  . It Absolutely stood the test of really bad weather and thunderstorms being on a regular campground. Yes the set up could be easier and faster but interestingly enough the 8 Pers. Carlsbad  doesn't get overall much higher reviews.
Yes the porch is great and no, not if it is raining. Things get pretty wet in there but with a tarp and some clips you can fix it. Unfortunately Walmart doesn't seem to offer the Coleman 8 Person Skydome which has a porch that can be closed and protected from the rain "ScreenRoom". But overall I think this tent is a great bang for the buck.

This tent is amazing. We took a gamble on it. We never ised the tent before. Ordered it and headed to PA for a week long camping adventure. Easy set up! It rained everyday we were there. One noght it stormed and was lighting out. This tent held up AMAZING! We stayed completely dry. Fit two twin size mattresses and a queen size mattress . We could probably fit one more twin, but we were comfortable with the four of us. Loved, loved the screen porch area. Worked great for extra storage and a safe dry place to keep our German shepherd. He loved sleeping right next to us. I can't give this tent enough praise. We could have really had a bad experience if it did leak. This tent made our camping experience the best.
