Following the release of a series of commemorative UK £2 coins from 1986 to 1996, the issue of a circulating £2 coin was set for November 1997. Since entering circulation, the £2 coin has featured three definitive coinage portraits of Queen Elizabeth II. This set includes coins featuring the three definitive coinage portraits and, in a unique twist, the 2022-dated £2 features Bruce Rushin’s ‘Technology’ reverse design in tandem with Jody Clark’s definitive coinage portrait of Her Majesty for the first time.
