The Ladies did a fantastic job

    by K. M. on 4/10/22

The play was great. Each scene had a meaning to a lot of young black ladies lives of today. The poems that the actresses recited from the Movie and the book did an outstanding job. Especially the last actress it had me shedding tears because I remember the scene like I was watching the Movie. I recommend this play to all 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

    Okay

    by Good2 on 7/28/14Genesee Theatre - Waukegan

I connected the play to the book and movie towards the end. The beginning was somewhat confusing. For local talent and an inexpensive production it was decent.

    dull

by sheedevil on 11/5/12Murphy Fine Arts Center - Morgan State - Baltimore

Morgan didn't pull this play off. it was more like the cast was story telling, 6women in different color dresses don't make a play...the only good part was the first 10 minutes when they sang and danced as children I was disappointed.i was fighting my self too keep from falling asleep.
