you can adjust the angle the head of the rake is at.  It is very simple to adjust and use.  I would suggest youtubing how to use a thatch rake and you will see just how this adjusts.  The handle is actually probably heavier than the rake head. It is not very heavy but you will get a great work out from it because you are pulling the thatch up with each stroke so you need to put a little more muscle behind it than just raking leaves.  The best motion is to move it foward away from you and then pull back toward you almost like a vacuum cleaner...pulling the thatch as it comes toward you and cleaning the rake as you push it back.

What is adjustable on this rake?
It is not aluminum as are many others...is this one heavy to use?

This is a high-quality rake that does a fantastic job. And the price is cheaper than Amazon for the same item.

This rake is very efficient. I used this to dethatch my lawn and was able to get rid of the yellow patches efficiently keeping the healthy grass back. Great quality and handling on the take.

Efficient, Great build quality

This is a great rake, with high quality head and handle.  It works very well and pulls up an amazing amount of thatch when adjusted and used correctly.  I bent a tine just as one of the other reviewers said.  I bent it back into place and hasn't happened again.

High Quality rake

If you are in the market for a sturdy and effective thatch rake then this could be the tool for you.  I did have one tine bend but I bent it back and the rake continued to work as expected.  It actually worked better than expected because before this I was using a straight tine rake.  This item is a huge step above that.

Not for the faint of heart

works well except for the wingnuts, have to continuously readjust rake head and re-tighten wingnuts.

Needs better hardware

One of the blades was bent upon delivery.  It was delivered without a covering, which is dangerous considering the blades are sharp. . Other than that, the actual tool works as needed.
