THE BEST general hiker
I've tried a lot of different options, and Voyageurs are THE BEST all-around hiking boots. For hiking you want a snug fit in the ankle, heel, and instep, and a bit of roominess in the forefoot and toe box. In Keen-speak, that is what "original fit" means. As the miles go by, your forefoot spreads out and needs some room. Shoes build on the running shoe last just do not cut it for hiking, even if they work for you on the sidewalks in your neighborhood. Voyageurs have THE BEST combination of "original fit" and ventilation. They are not offered in a "waterproof" version -- if that's what you need or want, I suggest the Targhee IV: slightly heavier, slightly less flexible, but very close. The Targhee IV is offered only in "waterproof", for which you pay a price in ventilation. If you are planning a week-long backpack, and the heavy pack to go with it, then you might need to move up to something heavier and stiffer that the Voyageur or Targhee IV, but for anything less than that, follow my advice.

Good boot
Not as Out of the Box comfy as. my last several pairs. Took some break in time. Nice lightweight boot.

Sorry to say….
I have been an avid fan of Keens for many years. Almost a spokesperson you might say. Voyageur mids have been my go to , but also many sandals and waterproof hikers. The footbed on the last 2 pair have been different. Too tight in width and uncomfortable insole. It has been a long, pleasant experience but I have to move on. Have always loved the large toebox but it’s no longer wide.

Good to go right out of the box!
A really well made boot that’s been consistently reliable. Fits great and doesn’t need any breaking in!

Voyageur
These are the best keen hiking boots I’ve owned. They should be the most durable and are definitely the most comfortable. Great grip as well. Definitely our shoes you can wear all day and never get tired of it. Would definitely recommend a pair of this specific keen shoe.

Soles Falling apart after 2 months
My husband purchased these Voyageur Mid's 6/30/24. Yesterday the soles are falling apart. This is the 3rd pair he has purchased in a year! Needless to say he is not happy considering the cost - they should last longer!

Great hiking boots
Have had these boots once before. This is my 2nd pair. I really like these boots. My first pair was used much that the tread on the soles were worn down and I still continued to use it becoz it was so comfortable. Excellent product.

Just Like Advertised
Went into the Zirkel Wilderness for a test hike and the Voyageur performed as advertised, with minimal break-in (wearing around town for a few days prior). These are my go-to for the remainder of the summer.

Great so far
First and only boot that did not need any breaking in. First time wearing them went on a short 5 mile hike and boot was comfortable and at end of hike no blisters anywhere. I usually wear Irish setter work boots. I’ll wear the same boot on and off work and get at least 3 years out of them. If these last, these will be my off duty shoe for now on.
