This set is honestly a great value for the money. The fact that it comes with 3 mini figures is even better, though I would like to have 1 TIE pilot and 2 Stormtroopers. I'm primarily a technic builder, along with having some bigger Star Wars set (Millennium Falcon, Slave 1, Razor Crest, etc.), and even though this set was easy to build, it was still a fun experience. I bought 2 sets and modded one of them into a TIE Interceptor(ish). They both look great next to my Vader figure. I hope Lego will release a true TIE Interceptor model in the near future *cough, cough*

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My son was able to put this together with his twin sister with no problems, they are 8. My son is in the expert range for building, this is one of his favorite things to do, he has Aspergers, he is very high functioning. This makes him advanced in areas of interest. It came with several Lego characters which he loves. This is great. My son likes to play with his Legos after he has built them. This was durable enough to stay together while he played with it and his sister. Now he has it displayed on top of his shelves in his room. It stands by itself very well and displays well. This is a great likeness to the actual Star Wars imperial ship. The shooters are super cool and go very far! 

I would definitely recommend this to my friends and family.

Great piece!

I bought two of these, one for myself and another for my son, the idea being that we could build these together. Not only was it a rewarding experience spending time with my son, but Lego did not disappoint. I enjoyed it so much I bought a second set for myself.  FYI - It looks great on the stand that was designed for the Tie BomberThank you, Lego.

Great set. I would however look on YouTube and see all the designs you can build with this set alone. It's really cool. In my photos (middle shelf on the one photo) are just some of the different tie fighters you can build. Enjoy exploring the possibilities

Nice Lego tie fighter with endless possibilities

I get that there are people out there who don't want a regular TIE. This set is still for you. Using every piece in the box, without any other pieces at all, I was able to construct a fairly fine TIE interceptor. To me, that elevates this set to a whole other level. It's a 2 in 1 TIE set. 

And NI-L8 looks great, the TIE pilot is beautiful, and I don't mind the new helmet for the trooper. Always nice to see.

Used every piece, made a TIE interceptor

Exciting set for my 7-year-old son to get started with, but unfortunately, there are several errors in the instructions between steps 25 and 29. Pieces are showing up in the build picture before they have been shown to pick. Lego is usually very on top of this but these definitely slipped by quality control. Hopefully the rest of the build is smoother.

Rare mistakes in instructions!

Yesterday, I recieved a badly damaged package and called very upset about it. I had bought it onsale and allegedly after customer service agent spoke to a supervisor, it was offered to refund me the $25 and that I could keep the damaged package. I was so relieved to hear that because the product looked like garbage and it honestly was an unacceptable present. She said I would recieve an email within a few hours. No email came. Today I called back and spoke about the situation and just said I never recieved my confirmation email. The person I spoke to this time said they fixed it and sent my email. When I got the email it said I booked a return window for Tuesday??? Not at all what we had talked about. I called a third time and basically was told that that isn't something that can happen and I'd need to go through the return process for any refund for the damaged product. Not only would it take up lots of my time when the product should not have been damaged in the first place, but I also bought the product onsale and no price-match for repurchase was offered. The product is VERY damaged and the other one in the same shipping box is perfectly fine so I have no doubt it was damaged before it was shipped. Getting an upset customer to calm down with a wonderful solution and getting their hopes up just to revoke that offer the next day and have them left with a gift that looks like absolute garbage and hopefully is still usable in some capacity is absolutely absurd. I was so happy with how this was handled originally but now I am extremely disappointed to find that my solution wasn't legitimate. I am extremely frustrated and extremely disappointed in Walmart. The product would be nice if it wasn't damaged.
