We bought our first Dyson Animal 11 years ago and it still is going strong, we thought! This new Animal is nuts! Our carpets looked almost new/shampoo'd after one pass. I guess we didn't know how much wear our old one had (still an awesome vacuum). 
I was hesitant to spend $500 on a vacuum but my husband kept insisting so we purchased it. Hands down, best purchase I've ever made. It literally picked up so much dust and animal hair I was mind blown. I didn't even realize how much dust and animal hair was on my floors until today. Anyways, I highly recommend in purchasing one of these vacuums. Trust me you won't regret it!

So Much POWER

Damaged box received with old dirty vacuum!!!

This vacuum cleaner blocks CONSTANTLY. You spend more time trying to unclog it than you do vacuuming. PLEASE DO NOT PURCHASE THIS BOUTIQUE VACUUM CLEANER IF YOU WANT A VACUUM CLEANER THAT ACTUALLY DOES THE JOB IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO ! The designer has not made the tubes on this device anywhere near big enough and IT WILL CLOG. Additionally, if you happen to suck up a Quarter by accident you will need a ramrod to remove it from the tube - or nearly $500 this vacuum cleaner is SHAMEFUL. Buy yourself a Shark and spend the rest on booze knowing you have made a fine decision !!

DON'T BUY THIS BOUTIQUE VACUUM CLEANER

I'm sad that I have to write this review because Dyson products were good for so long, but no longer. I bought this machine in October 2020 and it's now August 2023, and the cleaner head just broke for the 4th time. Each time Dyson sent me a replacement head for free saying that it was a "known issue" and that if it happened again, I should just email for another one. Suddenly that policy no longer applies. The fact that the cleaner head is so faulty that it consistently breaks in the exact same place repeatedly (with normal use and regular maintenance) is absurd by itself, but I dealt with the inconvenience because at least they were trying to make it right. Now they want me to pay for *their* mistake. I don't think so. This experience has been so sour that I won't be using any Dyson products ever again.
