YES! If you use the handles that are used for pulling the bins out as a "kick stand"

no, the lids don't open all the way to begin with

These lids don't have a lock mechanism to keep them open and will only operate as you step on them. They also don't have the "slow close" feature that some models have and will close quickly as soon as you release the pedal.

I have not been able to get them to stay open. Don't laugh but I used bamboo skewers to prop the lids open. They did slip when hit by accident. My husband then came up with a wedge to prop them open. They have to be removed when taking the can out but they are not in the way to slip when tossing trash into the can. Hope this helps.

No, you have to hold the foot pedal down for the lid to stay open.

You can keep the lids half open (about half way) by lifting up the handle of the inner bin and resting the lid on top.

Will the lids stay open if you want them to?

Yes it can. But since you use the pedal to open the trash can it is not a big concern. The bins inside have handles to pull them out.

I have not had a problem with finger prints. I have only wiped it off once in the two months we had it and it wiped clean much better than my expensive dish washer panel! Hope you find it ok for your use.

I have never needed to touch mine, so I don't know. I have been using it every day for three weeks. My foot hits the pedal, and I pull the bins out once a week. Never put my hands on it after I pulled it out of the box. Don't see any fingerprints from that, though.

The Step N' Sort was designed with a step pedal, and removable inner lids. So there is little need to actually touch the front of the unit. In addition, the top is part is in black which helps eliminate any issue of unwanted fingerprints! Although the stainless steel is not a fingerproof finish, the inner handles also help ensure that fingers don't brush against the front.

Should you have any unwanted fingerprints...simply clean the product with warm water or perhaps a small amount of dishsoap.

Use a rubber band around the opening to hold it and it will not show outside.

I use the medium size glad force flex and tuck them around the sides so
they stey close and the tie portion of the bag stays inside. Seems to work so far.

The bag doesn't show. Just twist the bag tight on the side and then slide the can down in. I don't see either bag when the lids are closed.

We use 13 gallon trash bags, but we had to make a place to tuck the bag. Our last trash can had a starburst shape cut into the plastic, so we made one on this.

Yes they have a place to tuck the trash bags, shine with any type of stainless steel cleaning supply, and any regular size trash bag will fit.

Sam's club 13 gal bags fit. I shine mine with furniture polish.

Use the 13 gallon "flap" type bags, they work best. Pull two flaps around one corner of the bin; cut a small slit between the two flaps to make them a tad longer, then tie them together in a small knot. Tuck the top of the bag down around the top of the bin after it's in the main unit.

Windex works fine for cleaning.

You can't store extra bags in the unit itself.

oh come on now. wrap the bag down the sides, slide in and then the extra will drop with weight. no problem here

We buy regular kitchen trash bags and fold them over the inner bucket. They don't show on the outside. The handle keeps them from falling inside

You can use 13 gal. trash bag.. You tuck the bag around the can and under the handle.It does not show outside the can. The can is fingerprint proof. You just wipe it clean with a damp cloth then dry it.

Yes, the bags are tucked inside the can so they're not visible from outside.
Also, just use 13-gallon bags for each compartment.
