Very bright and a great product, I received this product a couple of days ago and during reusing it yesterday I've had absolutely no issues with it it's very bright, balanced and has a turbo mode that gives a 1000 lm brightness very helpful last for 45 seconds you would not be disappointed with this product. I was worried as a standalone headlamp this would be a little heavy, having used this headlamp all week, I can safely say that the weight is fine. The headlamp swivel and optic focus are a must for many different situations. The lamp looks and feels incredibly well built, and the twist to charge or remove battery feels very solid. I have found the ability to remove the lamp and use the magnetic base much more useful than I would have imagined. I ran this light in a pitch black IT closet (overhead fluorescent light burnt out) and found the various levels of brightness helpful. After running the light on medium for 6 hours non-stop the lamp was not higher than room temperature. I appreciate this lamp uses USB-C for charging as my battery pack and phone use the same cable. Overall this headlamp is even more impressive than I originally guessed, and can be used in more scenarios than one might think at first glance.

Great versatility

I needed a great flashlight and I found it. Honestly, out of all of the flashlights I own this is far the best one I got. It's durable, has good battery life, and puts out a great amount of lumens.

One of The best headlamps

Been using for 2 months now. Excellent light. Love that you can take light out of clips and it has magnet. To slap to something if not wearing hard hat or tight spaces. Also awesome don't have to carry hard hat with me when charging. Just take light out. All the settings for brightness is easy to switch. Had a hard time to get it to stay on hard hat with clips because full brim hard hat. But used some sticky backs from work and put zip tie threw them and works excellent. And overall small profile of the light and all black looks great.

I was excited to try out this new headlamp!  It appears to be a very well made product, with several brightness settings, focusing power and  even with great rechargeable battery life!  It's pretty comfortable to wear and sometimes I even forget I have it on.  It even has magnetic power to set in place on a metal surface for hands and head free light!

Another great purchase from coast!

I used this headlight extensively the last two eeeks of deer season and was very impressed. The first weekend I only used it about 3 hours on varying setting and found medium and low sufficient for most uses.
The second weekend I searched for a deer for close to 45 minutes on high. The cleaned and dressed the deer for about two hours on medium. The light was great and having a beam I could focus was a big help as well.

Great light for hinting and tracking.

This is a great multi use light.  Not only can it be used as a headlamp, but it can be used as a standalone flashlight or magnetic base light you can attach to pretty much anywhere that a magnet will stick.

The light modes on this are a little odd going from medium to high to low with regular button presses.  Not sure why Coast seems to do this but it's a bit weird compared to other lights.  The turbo mode when you hold down the power button is extremely bright.  Spot and flood on this light are good and easily adjusted with a quick twist on the front of the lense.

The body of this light is solid.  Aluminum and well made construction.  Has a little heft to it because of the battery.  18650 2600mAh battery inside provides enough juice to run it for a good while. Super easy to recharge with the included USB C cable.

Overall it's a nice, solid built, well thought out multi use light.  Works great for pretty much any use you can think of to use it for.

Great small, good features

It's taken 20 years to find the perfect headlamp, but I do believe this is it!    I was immediately taken back by how solid (and heavy) this headlamp is right out of the package.  It's a solid piece of metal and really has the feel of quality.    The aluminum body is coated with a matte black coating that has a nice tactical feel and look to it.  The end caps have o-rings and appear to be waterproof.

The most important part - this light is BRIGHT!  It has 4 light modes and the brightest is rated at 1000 lumens!    Level 3 "High" is is more than bring enough at 490 lumens and is rated to run over 7 hours with the included rechargeable battery pack.    It has just a single rubberized button to cycle through the modes and is easy to do without taking it off your head.   A very thoughtful feature is a discreet light around the switch that is green yellow or red depending on the battery level.

This light comes with the Coast Zithium-X lithium battery cell already inside. You can also use a pair of disposable cr123 cells as an alternative.    The included battery is pretty innovative as it has it own USB-C port and can be charged without the headlamp.  You could grab a spare and always have a fresh battery ready to go.

I charged the unit with the usb port on the headlamp itself.  It comes with a nice y cable to use any existing charger you already have.  There is a led light to verify that it's charging.  It also comes with a nice durable feeling adjustable head strap with reflective material on it.

One of my favorite unique features of this light is the magnetic tail cap.  You can easily pop the light off your head and use it as work light while leaving the headlamp strap on your head or helmet.  The bracket allows for a quick release / reinstall situation without even looking.

Another nice feature is the adjustable beam.  Simply turn the lens to widen or focus the beam to your needs.  It has a good range depending on the work environment.

This headlamp is packed with features yet doesn't feel gimmicky.  It doesn't flash or have different colors etc.  There is virtually no plastic anywhere, it has a very premium feel.   It's a solid, extremely bright and well thought out tool that is most definitely the best headlamp I've ever owned.   Once again Coast does not disappoint.

Zombie Apocalypse level headlamp

I work outside, a lot! I needed a headlamp that would work a long shift (10 hours). Also that would give me the proper brightness in mostly dark atmospheres and situations.

The construction is durable. It's a little heavier than what I'm used to used as a headlamp. However, for how durable it seems to be you expect it to have a little weight. This headlamp does not feel cheap at all. The lamp itself clips into the head band which allows you to take it off in situations where you need it held in certain positions where you yourself may be moving. That's often my situation as I'm wrenching and moving a lot working around the PT6 turbine engines but in a relative area. The side of the lamp has a magnet. 

The other side has a quick charge port that is exposed when you unscrew the cap. That is quick and protective from the elements.The charger port is the same as the one used on Android phones which works good for me. The battery itself is also the common 18650 used in vape devices for those that use the vapes or a ton of other devices that use those.

There's a lot to this headlamp and tons of features. Definitely worth the price. You will not regret it.

Great headlamp for A&P!

This headlamp is great ! Being a homesteader I am constantly doing something where I need the option to adjust the type of lighting for each situation. This a solid multi functional headlamp that is easy to adjust, to what ever type of light I need.

Never enough light in the day. Problem Solved !

Bought two of these for my business. Battery life is good, but very disappointed with the brightness. Can't believe it's really 1000 lumens. I have products rated much lower than outperform this one. If I hadn't bought two I would have thought I received a defective unit but both are equally bright (dim).
