Nice car repair mat!

I wanted this to use as an exercise mat and it works perfectly for that. I don't crawl under cars. It's handy and easy to roll up for storage. Now I can get on the floor to do some exercises. I expect it would be good for laying down on the ground if you have to get under your car for something. I recommend this.

Works for what I want it for!

I like to do my own repairs and maintenance and often have to use an old towel when I need to lay on the ground or need a work mat. This is a perfect solution to replace my old towel. This has enough cushion to protect my knees and elbows and has rubber backing on the back side to stay in place and not slide around. I recently used it to replace the battery in my large SUV where I placed it on the front of the vehicle. I like the roll up and store straps so it can be stored and not take up space.

Nice work mat

You know how, when you're doing something under the hood of your car, you look around for somewhere conveniently close to put the tool down so you can find it again. Then you lunge for it as it slides down the side of the fender, maybe leaving a bit of a skid mark down its path? Or you set it on something in the engine compartment only to hear it fall and have to climb under the car to get it? Well, this mat is for you then. The car in the picture is a small, two-seater and the mat covered the fender more than adequately. This is a generous-sized mat. It has rubberized dots on the underside for grip and a very slight amount of padding to keep the tools from scratching the car (and maybe make it a little more comfortable to lean over....especially when it's really hot or really cold outside). My dog (also pictured below) found it an inviting spot to take a break, too. The mat has two elastic bands and a handle so that it can be rolled up when not in use.

Nice Large Mat - Covers Even Large Fenders

This is a great product to have. Not only is it well padded, it is a good size and comfortable. It feels good even over small rocks or you can double it on a rougher surface. It's easy to roll up and has carrying straps. Its compact storage design makes it perfect to keep in your vehicle for roadside situations such as changing a tire.

Great Convenient Work Mat

As someone who has used the really expensive name brand creepers to the very inexpensive foreign made ones, they're all fine and have faults but are primarily designed for you to be working on them all day rolling around under cars, but if something breaks you'll likely repair it or just buy another. However for the rest of us non-professionals wanting something inexpensive there has been nothing or scrap cardboard. 

I really liked this Auto Drive mat for simple repairs down low to my car or bike. The padding in the mat isn't what I'd call comfortable because its not thick enough to go over the concrete and still be soft, however if I were doing repairs on a gravel driveway this would make it so it didn't feel like a bed of nails. Also, if I'm working on stuff in the winter months, this will be ample insulation between the concrete and me. The backing has little rubber dots making it impossible to slide the mat itself, but there is a nylon material that faces up which should be better for wear, oil resistance, and overall longevity. 

The mat folds then you roll it up like a yoga mat. I like the integrated elastic loops sewn-in to keep it rolled up and compact. It has a handle sewn-in even though its very lightweight and compact. This is great if you have to travel outside of your home garage to fix something on gravel out on the ranch. Its also great if you don't have a use for a professional creeper but don't want to be on the ground or concrete to work on your vehicle.

Excellent for the home garage

Sometimes you are forced to stop on the side of the road to make a repair under your vehicle. No creeper and no comfort - getting dirty the entire time.

Well the Auto Drive Mat will fit the need quite nicely.

Pro: Compact, easily storable, quilted for comfort, non-slip backing, washable, and ready when you need it most.

Con: Not made in the USA.

Compact answer to a mechanics creeper

This Auto Drive 1pc Car Repair Work Mat (Black Polyester) is surprisingly versatile. While it doesn't offer much cushion for a heavy worker lying on concrete (hence only 4 stars), my husband says it is nice for laying out tools in the workspace.

Additionally, because it rolls up and has a handle & velcro straps (see photo), I look forward to having it with us as we're on the go. It's quilted, but sturdier than a blanket, so it will offer nice padding on outings year round: at sporting events, while out watching fireworks, and even at the beach. 

I recommend this mat for active families.

Lots of Uses

This is made well and looks nice. It's not really thick but plenty thick and it's not all rubber on the back. It's more like quilted on one side and small rubbery little knobs for non slip backing. It's made with 100% polyester. It rolls up easily and has a band connected to hold it rolled up for easy storage. It's made for auto repair but I will be using it for many things when I need to sit on the ground. I am keeping it in my car for a mat to sit on the ground when I need to wipe my wheels down or kneel to detail my car doors to keep my clothes clean but also for when I go watch a kid's game and forget my chair! It's small enough to just keep in the car at all times.

Pretty Good

Although this is advertised as an automotive 
work mat, I haven't been using it in the 
garage. I've been using it as an exercise 
mat. It gives a bit of needed cushion when 
working out on the hard floor. One side has 
some rubber nonslip dots that help give you 
traction when doing yoga poses, the other side 
is quilted and cushiony. It rolls up neatly for 
storage and best of all, you can just throw it 
in the wash as needed.
