Auto is it inflates when it get wet, manually you have to pull the inflation cord.  It also has provision for oral inflation if the inflation cartridge fails.

When you pull the handle it punctures the co2 cartridge and that releases the air to fill the flotation bladder.

How does it inflate manually, is there a built in pump? TY in advance!

Yes, my husband says it&#39;s adjustable and probably could go bigger. Now that being said, take in mind the thickness of the coat/jacket you will be wearing with this. My husband is a 50 / 52 inch chest also and this fits good over his sweatshirt hoodie .

Comfort

I work on a rescue/recovery team, we spent the weekend on the water training. Very comfortable to wear even on long days. 52 career recoveries and not a single one was wearing a PFD, never had a fatality wearing a PFD. That statistic is impossible to argue with, there is NO excuse for not wearing a PFD especially when they are comfortable and affordable.

Have not submerged yet, but manual inflation, repacking works as designed. Very pleased with product.

Fits well. Comes in a tidy mesh bag with Velcro so I can store it without fear of accidentally pulling the inflation tab. Much better than wearing my bulky PFD.

well, hard to really rate the product until it is used for how it is intended and since I have not fallen into the water with it on I can not say really how it works. that being said. it fits well, I'm a bigger guy so the full life jackets are very restricting when I'm fishing, this one is not. I did blow it up manually to make sure it would hold air. Would I buy this again. Yes, yes I would.

flotation devise

when i fell into water it worked but it blow out only top and left 'leg' of jacket.
i had to manually opened the right one  and blow air to keep me afloat.
  i'm 182 lbs and air filled up 'automatically' was not enough to keep me afloat if i won't be able to blow air on my own.  
upon instructions it is supposed to blow air with enough air to keep me afloat.
