The unboxing was easy. Assembly was even easier. The instructions were straightforward and simple. I used an optical cable. The subwoofer is about 6 feet from the sound bar. It sounds fantastic. I haven't had one minute of trouble. The remote allows you to adjust on the fly without having to visit some menu. The bass hits hard and, the sound schemes work perfectly. I am so thrilled I am buying another one. I haven't been compensated in any way for my review.

Freaking Fantastic

Sounds full and clear. I couldn't figure out the TV pairing but after trying the HDMI option, the TV found it immediately. I like that you have four options with this set, (HDMI, optical converter, audio jack, or Bluetooth.)

Oh, it is worth every dollar that I have paid, because even my previous 5.1 (yeah, maybe it was not so good) sounds not so clean and bassy.  Japan guys know how sound works.
Don't think, just buy it.

Wow! Bought this a few months ago but was too lazy to hook it up. Just hooked it up a moment ago. The sound is almost as good as my main $3,500 QSC system. Of course it doesn't have the power to shake the house like the QSC system does; but for easy music listening and watching movies on TV, it's more than adequate. Hooking it up (including pairing the subwoofer) is simple. Note: I use an optical cable to connect the speakers to the TV.

Better than expected. Love it!

Wow, bougt at $30, and i feel like i stole it. good name brand, live' s up to it. it is roku tv ready, so set up is simple. it says 115 watts, box says 350 peak. the user manual says 2x30@4 for the bar and 55@4 for sub with a peak of 350. manual also says 92 watts, so little confusing. i would price this at a $100 or more, it looks good, sounds good, cheap, and a jvc.

Fairly easy to hook up, set up and get up n running.
Sounds great, way better than the crappy TV speakers!
Couldn't be happier for the price and now Grandma is super happy that she can hear the TV crisp and cleanly, without cranking it way up, since she refuses to put her hearing aids in!

Highs are clean, clear and crisp without the treble turned all the way up!
Bass is very good, clean and thumps without distorting and again, with the bass level turned all the way up!
Vocals and just about all instruments sound very good!

Our only negative points/cons with this system would be with it's terribly uninformative and grammatical error laden "manual", which wastes pages of paper on corporate butt covering warnings, but doesn't give much hook up instruction! 
And it's very SHORT cable that connects the left to the right "detachable" speaker! 
The perm. attached shorty cable only comes out of the left speaker by about maybe 2 inches and has a plug on it's other end, the type of male plug most AC adapters have, and that plugs into the right speaker! 
A 1/8" mini-straight-plug cable would have been a much better and versatile option, since you can get much longer 1/8" cables!
As it is, when detached they only separate by about 1 or maybe 2 inches!
Had hoped to be able to place the left and right much further apart, because when placed in front of our TV it blocks the remotes signal to the TV!

It's top is not constructed deep enough from front to back to place the TV on top of.

There are a couple different audio presets, such as "music", "movie", "news", and "3D", not much diff between them, other than "news" sounds like AM radio thru a tin soup can and 3D gives a more separated, but somewhat hollow and distant sound which actually sounds great when watching live sports!
"Movie" setting is fine for most things we watch.

for it's low low price we would recommend this brand and model!

Very good sound!

Good price point. Excellent value for what it is and what it comes with. Sound is decent, Very little bass from the subwoofer, Mounting brackets are a bit odd on how they attach but works. Overall, they probably sound better than most TV speakers.

literally doesnt work....and i bought two sets. And for reference install audio equipment for a living. followed all instructions to a T. Sub will NOT pair. put main unit in BT mode and held button on sub till blue flashes fast. never pairs. stay away.

stay away...i want a refund.

Upon initial setup, I discovered that the HDMI ARC is defective. The TV discovers the system, but no soind is produced by the soundbar. The TV remote can control the system, but without sound.
Additional failure of the system I got is the range of the remote. The system would only recognize the remote no more that four feet away. Ridiculous!
The worst part of it all is that there is absolutely no support by JVC.
