-
Our roadmap to use recycled raw materials initially focuses on post-consumer sources, such as plastic bottles.

With help from our suppliers, we calculate the number of plastic bottles used to make a size medium of each product.

APMA Seal of Acceptance
APMA Seal of Acceptance

The American Podiatry Medical Association (APMA) Seal of Acceptance recognizes products that promote good foot health. At Brooks, products across seven of our key franchises feature the APMA Seal of Acceptance. This Achievement highlights our leadership in biomechanical research for runners and anyone who spends extended time on their feet.
I am very pleased with the Glycerin 20.. I have a hard time finding wide enough widths, which fit and don’t look like clown shoes.. these are perfect in the standard form.. wide soles, pillow soft.. Very comfortable shoe!
They seem really comfortable with good stretch over the top of the foot.
Will have to see how they perform on a long run, but so far so good. Really happy with the purchase.
I love my Brooks shoes.
Hi Al! Unfortunately, at this time there are no plans to produce the Glycerin 20 in colorway 843 - Orange/Titan/Flame in a wide (2E). We take our runner feedback seriously and hopefully in the near future we will be able to provide all our colors in multiple widths.
Hi Luke! If you wear a size 11.5 Narrow in the Ghost 14, you may enjoy the Glycerin StealthFit 20 in a size 11.5 Medium width.
Hi Martin! Yes, the Glycerin 20 replaced the Glycerin 19. The Glycerin 20 features our new nitrogen-infused DNA LOFT v3 foam. This is our super-soft cushioning optimized to be lightweight, responsive, and durable with plush comfort. We redesigned the midsole and outsole offering a widened platform for smoother, easier transitions as you’re striding through. The upper is redesigned for a plush and breathable, engineered air-mesh upper. This offers a secure fit, comfortably holding the foot in place. The upper continues to use our 3D Fit Print to provide extra structure.
Hi David! There are four versions of the Glycerin 20, as there is a choice between Classic and StealthFit and a choice between Neutral or GTS. The Classic and StealthFit versions will refer to how the upper material fits. The StealthFit will have more of a socklike feel with less adjustability in the lacing, while the Classic is more of that traditional athletic shoe fit. Neutral and GTS refer to the support in the shoe. The GTS version has our GuideRail support system, which is intended to help support runners who overpronate (feet/ankles roll inward). We recommend the neutral model if you do not overpronate.
Hi Travis! We recommend sticking with the same size in the Glycerin 20 as you had in the Glycerin 19. According to current reviews, the 20 is running slightly roomy, so it is possible it will feel slightly bigger. We have a phenomenal return policy that allows you to try our gear out for your normal runs and walks, inside or outside. If it does not work, we offer free pre-paid return labels on orders to send them back within 90 days for worn items and 1 year for unworn items. Even if you get them dirty or lose the box we can still take them back with our free labels via FedEx or USPS for a full refund.
Hi Imran! You can connect with our Runner Experience team for more options for laces. You can connect with us at https://support.brooksrunning.com/hc/en-us/requests/new or via phone at 1-855-427-6657, weekdays 6am-5pm PST. We look forward to hearing from you!
Thank you for reaching out. The best shoes for underpronation would be our neutral shoes. In our cushion line, these include the Glycerin 20, the Ghost 15, and the Trace 2. Our neutral energizing shoes include the Revel 6 and Levitate 6. Our neutral speed shoes include the Hyperion shoes and the Launch 10
Hi Ralph! There will be a few key differences between the Glycerin 20 and Ariel '20. The Glycerin 20 is a neutral shoe, while the Ariel '20 is a max support shoe. We do offer the Glycerin in a support style - the Glycerin GTS 20. The Ariel '20 also tends to have more volume and width, which accommodates inserts or custom orthotics really well. The Glycerin GTS 20 would be a great alternative to the Ariel '20 if you do not wear orthotics or if you do not need additional volume.
Hi Evan! Most of our shoes are specifically designed for run performance and don't specifically have work-certified slip resistance built into them.
We recommend checking out a company like Shoes for Crews to find a certified slip-resistant shoe if that's an important feature. Let us know if we can help further!
Hi Mihir! We recommend avoiding washing machines and (especially) dryers, but you can hand wash your shoes. Here are some tips as well as a link to an article that goes in greater depth:
1. Brush the bottom of your shoes to remove as much mud and dirt as possible.
2. Remove the shoelaces.
3. Gently use a damp cloth or brush to clean the uppers.
4. Rinse with warm water.
5. Remove the insoles and clean and dry them separately.
6. Stuff your shoes with newspaper. This helps them maintain shape and decreases drying time.
