This turned out to be the perfect size hydration backpack. Even though we did all size research, I was worried it would be too small; but it is a perfect medium size backpack size. And it is an actual backpack in addition to having the hydration tube and all. The latter can be removed and the the the rest used just like a backpack. So perfect! The materials made are strong and the backpack is quite convenient with padded back and shoulder straps. There are plenty straps to fix it onto the body. There are two zipped compartments with plenty room to spare, but if not used do not seem bulky. So one could simply cary their water/liquid and the reset empty. In addition to zipped sections there are pockets upfront and on the sides for additional easy reach stuff to go. All zips are strong and smooth, sections and joints are well stitched together. Stand up quality bag overall. A MacBook pro can go in the main compartment easily (not sure if anyone would want that, but hey tested). 

One second thought, my only reservation is to have taken a darker (dark blue or black) color. Other than that, the backpack is a perfect item to have for outdoors (and not so) activities.

Backpack/Hydration

This Ozark Trail hydration hiking backpack is very nice. My granddaughter uses it when she goes out riding bikes with her friends. It's the perfect size for her. Not too big and not too small. She loves filling it up with cool water so she can have a drink with her without stopping to grab her cup. It is well made and the color is very nice. We love all the pockets to hold things in. Overall I am very pleased with this backpack.

Love this backpack

This ozark Trail hydration pack is the perfect size to carry on a small hike or bike ride. It has sever compartments and it will hold 14 liters of water and you don't have to worry about running out. It is very durable and light weight. The straps are adjustable also includes a 2L reservoir. You will not regret this purchase. It is well worth the money.

Perfect for hikers!!

This hydration backpack definitely stood up to holding my gear and water bottles.   The depth of each pocket was fantastic and each outter side had a bottle pocket.  A piece of elastic is on each bottle pocket that stretches to accommodate the size of most bottles. There was a support piece of strap that held up the bladder which is unique.

I plan on using this mainly for short day hiking trips.  The straps and the part that touches your back has a great amount of padding and it felt comfortable as I walked.  I like that it includes a smaller bladder but can be switched out to a larger size.  One last note is that there is no hot/cold lining so the water did get warm however, the lining was quick to dry if there was a spill.

Lightweight Pack

When I ordered this I expected it to be rugged and durable. I was pleasantly surprised when I received it and it's also a handsome piece of gear. The two liter bladder can keep you out in the heat and elements for quite some time. The chest in weight strap distribute the weight amazingly to make carrying this pack effortless. Overall I expect this pack to last me years of fishing and hiking. The storage compartments are plentiful for all my necessities while out and about. I would highly recommend this pack over any hiking pack without the drink bladder. I have several Ozark trail products and I look forward to buying more. I was surprised that it did not have care and cleaning instructions for the bladder although I easily found that information on the internet.

Rugged

This hydration pack is great! Holds 14 liters of water, perfect for day hikes. Fills easily and large straw and straps makes the water easily accessible. Has 2 zip compartments and a front shove pocket. The pack is comfortable to wear with padded shoulder straps and back panel. To dry the water bladder, I put a dry dish towel inside to prop it open to air dry.

Perfect Hydration Pack!

Mouth piece doesn't work as usual/expected. You have to pinch it at a strange angle and hold it sideways in your mouth the way you wear a diving snorkel

Good bag. You can't fit very much in at all especially when there's water in it, but that's fine if you're just using it for hiking cause how much stuff do you really need. There's enough for some snacks and like a phone and wallet and knife or whatever. The two side drink carriers are nice too. Good to be able to add some Gatorade or whatever on the sides.

Ozark Trail rocks.

The pack is too small for me, as I am 6'4” and this pack is to short and does not sit comfortably upon my shoulders. The waste strap is a little to small and fits to tight around my waste. I could not tuck my drink tube into any of the included holders without the drinking tube hitting my neck.

The pack does not breath well between it and my back so when I completed my walk my back was soaked under the pack.

I also had problems of choking on water from the effort of sucking in water while walking. It seemed that there was too much effort needed and I ended up inhaling during drinking.

Would be great for a child or small adult.

I got two of these, one for me and one for my hiking sister. Opened up the bladder, washed it, filled it with water, and then spent 10 minutes trying to suck the life out of it. No water came up that straw tube no matter how hard I tried. I'm taking both of them back to Walmart this afternoon to get my $$ back. It's a shame because the rest of the design is nice, but I don't need a regular backpack; I need a hydration pack! Ozark Trail 14 Liter is a fail.
