Bekvam shelving unitsJoshuaUsed these to display cook books and cutting boards.5
WORST Design, missing parts and waste of timeTanveerHow can simplest rack can be designed so poorly. This is one perfect example. Does not come with wall attachment so it’s pain when you try to screw to wall and did fit right even after spending hours.
Very bad job with overall design. DO NOT recommend !!1
Practical, priced rightDavidI like that they are wood, so it's easy to get a custom fit by cutting them down to a shorter length to fit inside my cabinet door. To the hardware-challenged: one trip to a hardware store will get you a pack of flat-head wood screws that fit the brackets; if you are mounting on drywall, get some plastic screw anchors too.5
Versatile MartaBekvam spice rack is sturdy and versatile. It can be used as is, it can be combined with others, it can be installed upside down to use the bar to hang things, etc. 5
So useful BrittanieLove thes! We use them all over our house 5
Spice/Glassware RackJillianWe use 2 of these for spices and a third one to hold the GODIS short glassware because our cupboard had a lot of wasted space. Works great!5
PracticalLizFor the little things, works well. I have a bunch of these. 5
A pain to install!SarahThese are a huge hassle to install as the measurements need to be incredibly precise and, as someone else mentioned, it's difficult to find the right size screws, which need to fit perfectly in order to be compatible. These shelves really should come with the screws for hanging them. Ikea's response to another review on this page says, "wall/ceiling screws are not included... as different wall materials require different types of fasteners." This doesn't make sense -- most people have drywall or plaster walls, and a lot of shelves come and racks come with hardware included! Anyway, the shelves are inexpensive, but buy at your own risk and know they will be very time-consuming to install.3
They won't stay up :(AngelaI love these. I have a huge spice collection and wanted something uniformed so they could live on the wall above my stove. BUT THEY WONT HANG! I've put in the hardware and they won't secure into the shelf. Now I'm stuck with a ton of shelves I can't hang!! :(3
Great spice rack holds more than I thought.NezzieThe spice rack holds more than I thought . It's not too big where you can put it in different small spaces. I would definitely recommend it for my friends. If you have tight spaces and you need something for your spices it is ideal you can also put it behind the door of your cabinets.5
No hardware for assembly ?LisaVery disappointed that assembly hardware is not included 3
Love it!KristinaI am very happy with this little shelf. We installed it without the bar in front, as it blocked the labels on my spice jars. 4
Great as a bookshelfAnnaThis works so well a bookshelf for my nursery. I love that I can paint in any color or leave it in the original pine without it looking unfinished. It was easy to put together using the hardware that was included. I’ll be back to buy more!5
Bekväm is versital JillThere is so many things I can do with this "spice" rake, book rake, towel bar, etc
Just hang it however I want to.5
So helpful on the back of a stoveEstherI’ve used these before. The one I bought had a slight defect. Robot assembler took a holiday perhaps? So far it works fine. 5
Nice shelfTammyI bought two shelves and glued them together. I bought a wall rack and screwed it to the bottom. So it’s double the length with a towel holder attached. I stained it black and put it in the bathroom. It was easy to assemble and a great little project.5
Screws not included????AnnaI wouldn't mind that these do not come with screws to mount to the wall (which you must have - there's no other way to hang them), IF the hole on the back was a STANDARD SIZE. I have a 30 years worth of stray and spare screws, and NONE of them fit in this hole. Classic you get what you pay for. Very frustrated. 1
reversed and used as a bathroom shelfTamiI followed suggestions I saw online to flip this and use it as a shelf with a towel bar. Works well. Slightly difficult to hang with screws and get level but after a second person to help and some felt pads added to the corners, it is not tipping and safe to hold items.4
Poor design: could fit 2 rows of spice jars if slightly deeperGutFirst, I hate that this is yet another IKEA product that requires screws but does not include them.
Second, if this shelf were just a tiny bit deeper it could fit two full rows of standard-sized spice jars.
I do not recommend.2
GoodTarenI like the old version better for book racks for kids' room but these still do the job. Super cheap even with delivery. Paint well and easy to put together. Work great on outside of kitchen cabinets to hold tea bag boxes and hang cups and towels by sink after trimming down. Thank you!4
