I've tried all the dairy free options and even tried making my own. This is top tier. The taste is amazing and I've made a Mac n cheese sauce and used it for some bbq quesadillas and the cheese was cheesing. My husband hates my alternatives cause they don't taste the same, but he's had this and didn't complain about it so I call that a win! I would choose this over the other brands I've had.

SO good!! It actually melts.

I have tried other non dairy cheeses with lame results. This was so perfect! I melted in on my potatoes. I am so excited to use it for more recipies! Maybe a dairy free life won't suck after all!

I personally can't have regular mozzarella, so this stuff is an awesome alternative. Plus I can offer it to my kids if they want something different.

Chao cheese is awesome but the shreds are always . No matter what store the shreds have tiny specs of mold and if it's bad you smell almost a fruity smell when opening . All new bags most of I look hard enough I will find mold, so iv learned slices are way safer and easy to shred and they melt just fine with no worries of mold on new unopened shred. Walmart was great a refunded last shred bag I bought.

Love chao but Would suggest get sliced than shred

I usually buy the slices and decided to try the shredded but both bags had mold.

Mold

We have purchased this cheese multiple times. The first time I used it right away, and everything was fine. The following order I didn't use it the same day it arrived, and when we opened the bag the cheese was moldy. The next time we used some the day it arrived and then 2 days later the cheese had developed mold. Do yourself a favor, buy Violife.

Moldy

I usually love this cheese alternative, but this time it was moldy when I opened the bag. The expiration date was still 3 months out, and the bag was fully sealed.

I bought this plant-based cheese because I'm allergic to dairy and I wanted to make a pizza. The photo on the package shows melted cheese. Don't be fooled! This cheese does not melt.

DID NOT MELT AT ALL, also tastes super bland. Just a vague cheese aftertaste. Don't waste your money. 

Put it in at 400 in the oven and it just shriveled up to nasty crisps.

If I could provide no stars I would have.

I've gotten this plant based cheese quite a few times but recently by the time it arrives to me (I get delivery) it has gone bad and is moldy. So far, every other time I order it (so that's twice a month), I have to toss it out. I know the only way to get a refund or to replace it is to take it to the store where it was purchased however, I don't drive, hence the delivery, so I just end up losing my EBT money by throwing it away because I can't prove it's gone bad through customer service online.

When it's not moldy, it IS tasty and doesn't upset my stomach like "real" cheese does. However, if it gets frozen along the way somewhere, it will go bad once it's thawed. I believe that's the situation here.
