Mark your calendars, Christian music fans. A long-awaited new album from best-selling artist Lauren Daigle arrives in May.

Daigle — the Louisiana native who shattered Billboard records with her sophomore album "Look Up Child" and crossover hit "You Say" — announced Wednesday that her self-titled follow-up to the 2018 release debuts May 12 via Atlantic Records/Centricity Music.

Daigle plans to roll out the 20-song project in two parts: 10 songs in May and 10 songs at a to-be-announced time later this year. She enlisted Mike Elizondo — a Grammy Award-winning Tennessee album-maker known for cutting tracks from Ed Sheeran, Carrie Underwood and the "Encanto" soundtrack — to produce the forthcoming release. The release features co-writes from a handful of go-to Nashville songsmiths, including Natalie Hemby and Shane McAnally.

Lauren Daigle performs during the Recording Academy and Clive Davis pre-Grammy gala at the Beverly Hilton hotel in Beverly Hills, California on February 4, 2023.

“This is my most precious project,” Daigle said in a news release. “It’s got fun moments, solemn moments, extrovert moments and introvert moments. And I’m just thrilled about taking my songwriting further on this record than anything I’ve done previously.”

Listeners get a first spin of the forthcoming album with new single "Thank God I Do," a powerful piano ballad showcasing a mesmeric vocal performance from Daigle.
