Wayne Newton is a singer and entertainer from Norfolk, Virginia. Over the course of his decades-long career, Newton has become synonymous with the glitz and glamor of the Strip, earning the nickname “Mr. Las Vegas.” Getting his start in the 1950s, the then-teen singer was mentored by superstars like Frank Sinatra, Elvis Presley and Bobby Darin. Some of his best-known songs include “Danke Schoen,” “Red Roses for a Blue Lady” and “Daddy, Don’t You Walk So Fast.” By 1963, he had become a headliner at the Flamingo in Las Vegas and worked his way to being named the highest-grossing act in Sin City history. Through the 1990s, Newton headlined shows at Caesars Palace, MGM Grand Las Vegas and Bally’s before signing a 10-year contract in 1999 as the first-ever headliner-in-residence at the Stardust Resort and Casino — though the deal was cut short in 2005 as a result of the venue’s demolition. In 2016, Newton performed his lounge show Up Close & Personal at Bally’s, followed by his 2019 stint at Caesars Palace to celebrate his 60th year on stage. In 2024, Newton will embark on his Up Close and Personal Tour.

I expected world class entertainment and got so much more. Wayne’s charisma is contagious. His interaction with the audience is legendary and he did not disappoint. The bonus was the “personal “ part. Wayne is actually a tremendous entertainment historian! I left feeling energized and that anything is possible. Thank you, Wayne!!!
Wayne Newton very good entertainer. Loved his show. Very nice, funny, loved his old clips of stars. His wife, very beautiful and entertaining. I would definitely go see his show again! Recommend to everyone. Up close and Personal!
I've always wanted to see Wayne Newton live and this performance did not disappoint. Sure, he's getting up there in years, but he's still got it! The performing, the timing, the jokes! Plus, with "Up Close and Personal"there was amazing archival footage interspersed between sets that's just magical to see. What an absolute gem of a show!
Wayne is a national treasure! He still puts in a great show!
Great show! Entertaining, funny parts and very serious parts. Would see again.
We thoroughly enjoyed Wayne Newton‘s stories and videos, and his beautiful wife added so much to the show…my husband and I enjoyed the whole experience tremendously!
I never pass up the chance to see a legend. Loved the stories and Vegas history but his voice is not what it used to be.
81 years old - playing several instruments - Wayne Newton shows he's still Mr. Las Vegas. I really enjoyed the show - I forgive Wayne for trying to hit notes he can't hit. He had video clips interwoven with live music in some instances. Wayne played the pedal steel, the guitar and the fiddle. All top notch. My only complaint - Wayne may have fudged the dates when he talked about recording the duet with Glen Campbell.
Wayne is provably one of the Best Entertainers we have had the privilege to see and enjoy. Yes we would go again. WE are telling any that will listen to see him sing, play so many instruments and so well done. Yes Wayne Newton still has it. A must see.
