Nuggets (Acrostic) Poem by Sathya Narayana

Nuggets (Acrostic)

Rating: 5.0

Nuggets of gold, money and authority
Ultimate luxury, status and handy men
Gathered he through all bloody means
Giving not a damn to humane feelings
Equipoise is but nature’s patent strategy
Tamed is he by crippling ailments
So sad! Spends life like a frozen vegetable!

And all the while he was writing his own epitaph... What a terrible pity. Very powerfully written. This one resonates. Kind regards, Sandra

our commercial ads look like female generation takes a necklace in the morning for breakfast, a gold chairn with earrings and few bangles for lunch and a couple of anklets wastelets for supper. and their male couterparts to any length to look ugly by daubing themselves witl all MNC filth on them. they way they use to get these is quite opposite to the way of real natural world. what is natural is right. when will we understand this? a small and telling write a like it. jaypee

Irony penned with skill and anger in this fine poem about the obscenity of power and wealth. Your final line, 'Spends life like a frozen vegetable! ' is superb! love, Allie ♥ ♥ ♥ ♥

Nuggets: they would be not bad at all, if hold their natural substance. Here the bad is that many things are adulterated and occupy the place of the natural elements. Unluckily some people think they can't do without them.
