Pullman Bunker Bay Resort Margaret River Region
Secluded beachfront luxury set within 30 acres of beautifully landscaped native gardens.
Located in the northern Margaret River region, this deluxe resort is nestled within lush, green shrubs and trees with direct beach access to the white sands and azure waters of Bunker Bay. A rustic retreat with a modern edge, each studio and villa is open-plan to give you plenty of space.
Limestone feature walls complement the natural surroundings, and all rooms feature a king-size bed and a private deck area in a luxurious home away from home. Villas also include a fully-equipped kitchen, which is perfect for families. A resort pool is tempting enough to spend your days by, but if you can tear yourself away from the pool, you’ll be richly rewarded with views of the stunning Indian Ocean via a short walk to the beach. In resort, complimentary weekly wine tastings and yoga classes are ideal for balancing indulgence and relaxation during your stay.
For dining, the superb Other Side of the Moon restaurant offers modern cuisine and an al fresco terrace or you can enjoy a bistro-style menu at the bar. Breakfast out on the terrace isn’t just a picturesque place to enjoy a moment of peace – if you’re lucky, you might spot a southern right or humpback whale in the bay! (Whale migration occurs here between September and mid-December.) And with its north-west aspect, the beach is also one of the finest spots in Australia for sunrise so we recommend an early pre-breakfast stroll on the beach.

Stayed 5D/4N with my family. Key takeaways: 1. Positives: a) Property and the rooms are spacious b) The overall layout is pleasant with lots of greenery as well as birds/ducks etc 2. Negatives: The main issue was he overall service standards were very average. some instances a) The folks at the breakfast area were not helpful at all and required repeated reminders on orders and it almost felt that they were just doing their job mechanically...zero motivation b) The landline in our room was not repaired during the entire course of our stay. It almost felt like a ritual of some sort/joke to remind the reception every morning about it and in the end they would just acknowledge but still not repair it. This was highly inconvenient to my family as our room was a good 500m away from reception so i had to cover myself up (quite chilly at times), walk 1km (both ways) just to order a dental kit, or a blanket or a buggy. All they did was blame Telstra but no solutions were offered! maybe a walkie talkie, or a whatsapp line? nothing! there was no way i was going to use my Singapore number to order a toothbrush! c) Housekeeping was restricted to laying the bed, changing the towels and emptying the trash bins. There is no way the staff actually cleaned the floor or vacuumed the carpets since the dirt and stains were constant during our entire stay Conclusion: This property has all the "hardware" to be a top resort especially with the limited competition. All they needed to do was to fix the "software" that runs the place i.e service standards. Fortunately this is a relatively easier fix but i notice that the management was refused to do anything except pay lip service to the many similar reviews posted in the past. I am sure my post would have a standard cookie cutter response of how service standards are valued at Pullman and this feedback will be shared etc.....Wish they genuinely do what is required to fix the place

After having stayed at the resort 5 years ago, we were excited to return for our first child-free break in some time. Unfortunately, it seems that whilst 5 star prices have continued to be charged, the property is lacking in maintenance and service. Our room was frequently full of ants and I woke on multiple mornings covered in bites. The staff appear to be new or not educated on the level of service required at a 5 star resort. At the restaurant, we had to follow up with staff on multiple occassions to get served and our drinks order was completely forgotten. The butter chicken was poor and bland, however the fish of the day and beef cheek was good. At breakfast, we had to seek out staff to order a coffee, it was not once offered. Overall, it was a disappointing stay and we won't be back.
