A: I have cooked steaks, chicken and fish in ours and as long as you keep the bottom cleaned out after each cooking, the smoke is VERY minimal. Even while the meats are cooking, I have not had an issue.
A: The preheating function does tend to take some time. - It can take up to 10-min for it to preheat. If you open the drawer, while preheating, it will pause the preheat and restart it all over again. - I noted that it is faster cooking chicken than shrimp burgers. - Pizza seems to burn around the edges and not be crisp at the bottom when you use the pizza pan. - It does omit a smell of something burning the first few times you use it. - I use the disposable air fryer covers and it seems to contain the mess pretty well.
Q: Can the preheat mode be bypassed?
A: No, so you better not leave the kitchen. This is the worst feature of this piece of crap. You start it, then some time later you get a 1 minute window to open and add food, otherwise it turns off. So it is always a 2-step process, you can't start your food and come back when it's done. You need to stay close by so you can hear the beep then open and close the door to get it to start cooking.
A: I disagree with the other reply on this. The "presets" only function to choose a default temperature and to turn on (or not) the fan. Both of these can be chosen separately, it just takes a couple of extra steps.
Q: Do you have disposable liners for the air fryer
A: The disposable liners need to be purchased separately. I bought a few from Amazon that were 8-qrt to 10-qrt but they are still too small for the size of the basket for this unit. try to get some that are 10qrt or higher to fit into the basket. If not, you will need to use two in there.
A: The unit will fit 12" boxed pizzas when using the flat try. The pizza tray included only fits 10" pizzas but they cook fine on the slotted flat try with some adjustments to temperature as it cooks fast from top to bottom.
