Impala Rollerskates Impala Quad Skate (Big Kid/Adult)

These seemed great at first but the boot came detached from the heel after three months of use. Very disappointed.

I wrote a rave review after receiving and skating on these, but have to do an update. I’ve had these for about 3 weeks, skating for an hour or so daily. About ten days in the heal of both boots are starting to separate from the base! I’m not a super aggressive skater and only weigh 125 lbs. Also note I skate 95% of the time indoors. Ultra cheap boot quality! Don’t waste your $$$!! Do yourself a favor and get a better quality skate!

These make me so happy! I used the size chart from the Impala website and got the perfect size. (The one on Zappos is not correct). Just measure your foot and check the chart. They are super solid and sturdy, and roll great both inside and outside. Some people comment that the heel separates from the boot, I’ve only had mine for a week... But I noticed, my first inclination was to take them off by pushing on the heel. To prevent separation, I make sure to take them off at the calf portion.

The skates are a really nice value for the money. Especially if you can pair it with a discount from Zappos. The stake boot is padded and stiff. The plate was well assembled and the bearings were pressed into the wheels evenly and they had a nice smooth roll out of the box. The only issue we had with these skates was finding the right size, we ordered two pairs and sent them both back for other sizes. While I think the laces will hold up, I’d probably replace them with a semi-waxed lace once they show wear.
