I decided on the Model # DCST925B because of the reviews which turned out to be spot on! I have a specific purpose for the string trimmer and that is the weeds spreading in and around our privacy tree line. We have our roadway, three feet of grass, three feet of mulch bed with the trees in the center and then woods. The wind carries seeds from the overgrowth and propagates weeds which are too numerous to pick by hand. I did a three-hundred-foot tree line of sixty arborvitaes in under an hour with a 3 ah. Battery. The large growth took some time and patience but the trimmer wacked right through all the stuff. I will only need to use it about twice a month till the fall. I would suggest taking the time to clean the bottom thoroughly, including removing the line spool and inspecting the line. Important note make sure the line does not extend past the cutter blade, it will make a racket! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Powers through tuff weeds

This trimmer was the perfect choice for me. I have a large yard with several flower beds, trees, and buildings. Being a petite female, a gas powered/heavier model would've been impractical. This trimmer made quick work of the tall grass and weeds and had plenty of power. I used it in low mode and it did run through the battery quicker than my other tools, so I would recommend having a backup ready if you're planning on using it for extended periods. I was careful around rocks and sidewalks, so the string lasted a long time and showed little wear. It's easy to assemble and run, I had no issues. I'm happy with my purchase.

Trimmer keeps my yard looking tidy

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ok I was not totally sure about battery powered weedeaters but I trust Dewalt so I bought it this thing blew my mind its a beast  if I keep in on low and use the smallest battery there is I can do my whole back yard and front yard and if there are some tuff weeds just flip the switch to high and bam there gone in the blink of an eye

I bought this today and just finished trimming. I am so sick of 2 cycle equipment, I spend as much time getting them to run as I do using them. Like all my other DeWalt 20v tools this did not disappoint. I rarely used the high power setting even though I was weeks past due on trimming. After investing in some 5ah batteries a while back I have bought several tools and would recommend them all.

Great trimmer!

I bought this a week ago and so far I'm very happy with it. It's more powerful than I thought. It cuts right through the high grass. For the price, it works great and I love cutting the grass now!

Works Great! Powerful and Easy to Use

The string stops feeding. I thought maybe I was restringing it wrong, and watched the YouTube videos to make sure, but I only get to about half way done and it disappears again. Do I need to replace the bump head or something? It's frustrating.

1st ever bad review from me about a Dewalt product

This tool worked great the few times I used it, then it just stopped working when I went to use it yesterday. Like all my tools, I treated this one great, and I've never had a problem with any other Dewalt products (it's why I've been loyal to this brand). Very disappointed that it does not turn on anymore.  I have 5 batteries, they are fully charged and work in other tools, but the trimmer is completely dead.  Will attempt the warranty service now.

This product is awful. I've only had it a year and it's DOA. That's right it quit. No it's not the battery. I have a few batteries because I have dewalt tools. This thing is great when it was working but only a year. SOOOOO disappointed

It QUIT

no matter how many times i rewind the spool, string will not advance while using it. I have followed the directions, watched videos, over and over again but the string wont advance when you bump it on the ground
