La película sobre la separación de los indocumentados fue muy triste, dura de ver. Ojalá hubiera más personas con moral en la nueva administración. Ojalá la vieran más personas que tienen tantos perjuicios sobre los emigrantes
Racist Agitprop on Public Radio
3d ago
Another taxpayer funded racist radio show. In a 3/22/25 episode, the narrator spends 30 minutes on the ridiculous claim that wearing a black dress is racist. She described the humiliation of politely working in retail at a Beverly Hills Bloomingdales and dealing with “rich, mostly white women.” She had to pick up clothes left in the fitting rooms. Luckily for all of us, our oppressed victim-narrator somehow escaped her captors. She was admitted to grad school after this ordeal. This show is just another subtle attempt to dehumanize other skin colors - in this case against whites. Anti-white racism is a constant theme on NPR. Racism is toxic to human society. We all know this. It creates hatred and division. When the message is repeated enough, especially to young people, it isn’t long before all manor of heinous actions can be justified in response. The producer of this show, Maria Hinojosa, and her Futuro Media foundation donors should be ashamed of themselves. NPR is funded with tax dollars and money from our nation’s most elite individuals and families (money that is also tightly woven into our government). Why is it that our elites broadcast racist messages every day on public radio? Are there other instances in history when a governments and its elites made state sponsored racism an official policy?

Unpacking American Extremism did an excellent job of doing just that. I cried for the first time in the election and felt every emotion. This is the 1st time I’ve listened to this podcast but will be back for more.
A wonderful show

The 2024 election is a horror story. The current candidate for Democrat president is committing genocide and they wouldn't even mention it. Disgusting to listen to.
Good but

Remove the astrology thing because it makes the whole thing seem unserious.
In the Shadow of the Wall

So wonderful to hear Fernanda Echavarri’s excellent work again, exploring the truth of what is happening at the border and exposing the “invasion” lies and scare tactics. Thank you, Fernanda and Maria Hinojosa and your great team. — Diane Luber
Your side on the abortion debate
03/29/2024
I don’t appreciate your biased opinion on abortion. I’m Mexican and I think many Mexicans and Central Americans are conservative when it comes to this issue. Why don’t you take an objective approach?
Lacks important context
05/25/2024
This is a review of the Mexican presidential race episode. It lacked a LOT of important context about electoral law in Mexico, including the “ley de amparo, “derecho de réplica”, and the role of the INAI in fighting corruption. It also totally ignored the PRD, a crucial piece towards understanding the strangeness of the opposition coalition. I don’t think it’s helpful to your listeners to try to make equivalences with the American political system because they are just too different, and doing so minimizes meaningful understanding of Mexican politics. This was a wasted opportunity to cover an important story in an honest and informative way. I continue to be disappointed by NPR’s coverage of events in Mexico and Latin America, more broadly.
