what material are the plates made of? If it is microwave safe, it's probably plastic, but what type of plastic?

The description indicates that the cups are BPA-free silicone. Are the plates BPA free as well?

This product is very durable and very easy to clean. Very compact
and easy to carry with a little carry bag. The cups are great, they
keep Your drinks very cold. Everything is very easy to clean up.

This is a great little set, the ruggedness of it will definitely last a lifetime if you protect it from the campfire. This goes in my BOB and I will keep it in my Truck . This is worth the price.

Great Camping Gear and clothing!

It's a great little set. Better suited to a scout, CAP, ROTC, or casual camper vs anyone who is looking to count ounces for backpacking. I do like that it's silicone and not cheap plastic. If you know silicone, then you know it's far less likely to be damaged by heat. The expanding cup is an absolutely incredible addition. I'd also really easy to clean after each use. 

Overall it is a great little set for an individual for casual use.

My walmart delivery arrived with the 11 pc set missing pieces. I only have 2 plastic plates and a utensil set. Probably not a typical experience but it's lame I need to go return it now.

Missing pieces in delivery

I used this for a Scout Campout.  Had chili for the first meal and then tasted chili the rest of the weekend.   We used super hot water and soap to clean it.   Took it home and ran it through the dishwasher and it still smelled like chili.
