    Noise Issue

After one week of use, it started to have a noise at the front drive. I can’t tell if the noise is coming from the belt or clunking from the front drive. I tried to adjust the bolts in different areas but it doesn’t help. I can’t continue my workouts because the sound is bothersome. I live in a second floor building and the machine is too heavy to carry, so I can’t return it.

Disappointed with the quality control of NordicTrack. I've purchased several machines which have been great (S22i and RW200), but this one arrived and it looked used. Several scratches and dents throughout all the parts. I've tried reaching out to Best Buy customer support but the Appliance department doesn't seem to answer their phone. I don't want to go thru the hassle of loading this up into my car just to return it.

Product monitor freezes up and unable to use. Has happened 2 of the 4 times used the first week. If internet is poor manual mode still is unavailable and can not be used. Must have good internet. I don't want to use ifit, I just want to be able to use a manual mode whenever I workout. I would not recommend buying this product

      Buyer

We’re sorry the monitor on this unit has been freezing. If the console freezes, reset to factory default setting. Be aware that this will erase custom settings.

Instructions to reset are found on page 32 of your user manual, and require two people. While holding the reset button down with a bent paperclip, the other person will need to plug in and turn on the power. Please refer to your user manual for full instructions.

Have you spoken with us about your wireless connection? These touchscreen consoles do require an internet connection to correctly calibrate and function. You must have an 802.11 b/g/n router with SSID broadcast enabled. A broadband connection is recommended and performance depends on connection speed.

We ordered the delivery and set up through Best Buy, the delivery and set up crew was late and complained that they had to set it up, even though we paid hundreds extra for the service. They didn't arrive until late in the evening, about 6 hours late (supposed to be there between 10 and 2) The machine appeared to work fine for about a month, but now it creaks and clicks. It feels lightweight. Wobbles side to side. A little lopsided I think. Cheap plastic materials. I am not overweight but it groans under my weight like some 300 dollar Amazon knock off. You can't tell me it's normal for an eliptical machine to make this much noise after a month. I'll grease the hinges, hopefully that will help, but even if it does I just paid 1500 for a machine that has to be reserviced every month? I hear norditrack has terrible customer service, so I dread calling them. I think I'd rather have a loud creaky machine than deal with them. The whole reason I paid for Best Buy to set it up was so I wouldn't have to build it myself. So the last thing I want is to trouble shoot with Nordictrack because they make people take the machine apart before they send someone out to repair. What a glorious waste of money this was. I'll never buy another appliance from Best Buy again, nor will i buy anything from Norditrack for that matter. Not the first bad experience with Best Buy, but will definitely be the last.

I have it for a year. The engine which lifts the elliptical broke withing a month of purchase, but it was changed quickly. I had to adjust the screws rather frequently, as they got loose easily. The ifit is annoying, as I do not use it, and each time I have to say that, no, I do not want to use it.

I purchased this to replace another Nordic Track elliptical that I bough way back in 2008 - it had finally died a noble death. I trust the brand so I did my research and selected the Commercial 12.9 for its rich combination of feature and reasonable price. I also elected to purchase the on site disposal (of the old machine) and assembly for an extra $300. Well worth it. The elliptical trainer was delivered a few days late, but I was notified every step of the way, so there were no surprises. The delivery service was on time, and very professional. They removed the old machine from a second floor gym, and assembled the new machine with no fuss. The machine itself is as advertised. VERY solid, stable, and of great quality. The machine has lots of grip positions to assist the workout. iFit drives the display. You can do a basic manual workout without iFit, but it is BASIC. Start, and manually control everything, no basic preset workouts. It comes with a year free of iFit, so I took the plunge. Thus far I'm very happy with it. iFit comes with all sorts of pre-programmed workouts - I confess I don't use them - I can't stand having the virtual trainer yakking at me. What I love is the ability to create my own workouts on the iFit web site, then use them on the machine. You can use Google Maps to create a virtual workout - the machine follows the terrain elevation so it can be interesting. What I really prefer is simply creating a time based workout - I adjust the elevation and resistance, pretty much an infinite variety of options. I do a 30 minute each day, and have created a different workout for each day of the week. VERY happy with the machine. It is quiet, reliable, and very comfortable and it can challenge any fitness level. I am 52, a lifelong runner, swimmer, and rower. I mix the elliptical in with Concept 2 rowing days and Concept 2 biking days. For context, I am 5' 10" and 150 pounds, I run at a 5:30 mile training pace. This machine really challenges me - I do a combination of resistance and speed workouts and am very happy with it. It seems like it will last, hopefully as long as my last one. My only complaint - the foot pads. They are VERY comfortable, but VERY soft and not durable. After my first workout I started noticing abrasion to the foam, and after 5 workouts the foam has started to deteriorate. I contacted NordicTrack warranty and they were VERY helpful, sent me a new set of footpads immediately. So, quick fix, but very wasteful, you replace the entire foot pedal unit, not just the pad. I spoke with the customer service rep and offered to send the food pedals back for analysis - clearly this is a design flaw. She politely declined, so I guess I'll just keep replacing these every few weeks until my warranty runs out. These pedals seriously need to be redesigned.

Nice product. Best Buy couldn’t seem to coordinate a delivery and install service that I paid for so I had to cancel the original order. No available install dates at all, even into 2022. Relatively simple to put together, but some pieces were tough to install in terms of fitting together. After a month of semi-regular use, the left pedal assembly seems to be clicking and off balance. Everything is tight, just seems like poor alignment with the wheel contacting the roller bar. Contacted NordicTrack for maintenance and is pending resolution. Had a similar issue with an older model that eventually led to parts replacements. Overall, fun workout machine with some potential quality issues. 3 stars since those issues arose less than a month after purchase.

This is a high quality eliptical machine. I have tried elipticals at the gym and they have nothing over this eliptical as far as the smoothness and the resistance levels. It has 24 levels of resistance and I have never needed to go above 11 for my use. This product came unassembled and I put it together myself. It can be done by yourself, but if you are not mechanically inclined or don't have someone to help you, I would recommend that you have someone do it for you. I don't have a subscription to use any of the scenic videos, I only use it in manual mode. The video display is large and easy to use. The heart rate monitor on the stationary handles is a great idea, but mine does not track my heart rate reliably. This eliptical has the incline function, it goes up to 20, I have never gone above 10, but I like this function. There is a built in fan with variable speed control and I find it to be significant during my workouts. I find this piece of equipment to be very challenging, and as cardio workouts go, I have never been more challenged as far as cardio workouts go. I am very impressed with this piece of equipment.

It’s good to have a elliptical under 1000$. It took me like 1 -2 hrs to build it. The only problem i faced with it when you use it on a automatic trainer video. When it adjust itself for incline. It makes a lot of noise.

This is my third elliptical from NordicTrack. In my opinion, this one is better constructed (less parts) and quiet compared to the others I had. I hope this one will last longer but I like it so far. After one week of usage, I had to go back to tighten all the bolts when all the parts set in place. And some of the bolts actually were loose. I think this is important because this will increase the life of the machine.

This elliptical is okay. It was a lot to put together and the ‘pedal’ surface for your feet is made of a material that is shredding easily with use. The heart rate monitor on hand bars do not work. I have a Nordictrack bike that I absolutely love, can’t say the same for this elliptical but it serves it’s purpose.

The workout is good. It really gets my heart rate up. The machine has some wobble to it. I'm not sure if the short front to back base length or narrow side to side base but I'd like it to feel a bit more sturdy underneath me. Also, there some knocking and creaking sounds that make the machine sound a lot older than the 1 month I've had it.
