Pros (+) We have stayed in Powerscourt several times and it has always been amazing. The rooms and service are first class.
Cons (-) It's just become too expensive. We paid just shy of €400 for one night. The food, drink etc has always been really good value which meant the cost of hotel was well worth it. However on this visit the cost was too much. €19 for starters in their new bar. €34 for a burger and €14 for dessert. After being told we had to vacate the table after 90 mins. The cheapest glass of wine was €14. €7 for a cof...

Pros (+) The robes are lovely and cosy and the size of the room umand bathroom is more than adequate. The hotel itself has a lovely reception area and a number of places to eat. The grounds are spectacular and walks around the estate are highly recommend. The swimming pool is lovely with a jacuzzi, steam room and sauna. Robes are provided at the swimming pool so you can lounge around the pool on one of the...
Cons (-) There were cobweb by the curtains in the bedroom and the Bedside lockers had a glass top so you could see the dirt built up underneath which couldn't be cleaned. The TV has a number of channels that simply don't work and the streaming option also didn't work so you can't log in to your own services.. would have expected better from this hotel. There is a Nespresso machine but no kettle which is a ...

Cons (-) It was really annoying that you could not get a snack in the sugar loaf lounge, not even a mince pie and coffee over Christmas.
