    About This Product

DRICORE Subfloor is the first and most important step towards creating a new living space as warm and comfortable as any other space in your home. DRICORE is the one-step engineered subfloor solution that is specifically designed for basements. It creates an air gap above cold, damp concrete to protect, insulate and cushion your finished floors. Concrete continually releases moisture. DRICORE Subfloor panels promote good indoor air quality by allowing air to circulate which in turn reduces the potential for mold and mildew. Answer This Question

You may just have to do it like you would do a floor, only why wouldn't you just rip out the carpet? Too much work? What's under the carpet now? Just wood or concrete already? Or something else?

Can it be used on wood subfloor? I have an environmentally controlled shed sitting 1 foot off the ground, and the floor condensates in the winter from the cold.

Use 1”rigid foam and 2 layers of 1/2 plywood on the bias. This subfloor has an r value of around 1. You should get R 7 or so w the 1” rigid foam and plywood.

Summarized by generative AI from text of customer reviews

Customers say that the DriCore subfloor panels are easy to install and provide a noticeable improvement in warmth and comfort for basement floors. However, many users have expressed concerns about the decline in quality compared to previous versions, noting that the panels are thinner and less sturdy, which affects their overall performance. While the product is generally well-received for its ease of use and effectiveness in moisture management, issues with damaged edges and inconsistent quality have been reported, leading to mixed experiences among customers.

                          Quick and easy
While slowly finishing my basement I’ve used this for a subfloor over concrete. It’s very easy to measure, cut, and lay down. Very time efficient and simple to do by oneself. It’s pretty much like laying down vinyl tile. Might be cheaper to put down under layer and big sheets of osb, but this is just so easy and convenient.

I used this floor on top of a concrete slab that’s not waterproofed on an addition to the first level of my home. The install video made it super easy to know how to install and I think it will serve its purpose of making floor area slightly warmer, protecting my new LVP floor, and allowing concrete to breath. Only thing I didn’t like was that half way through my project it seemed like the wood changed as you can see in the pictures.

                            Easy install
The 24 inch format makes these tiles easy for one person to transport, carry and install. I am a woman in my 60s and I was able to complete the job myself easily with great results. Be careful when handling to ensure no damage occurs to the tongues.

                            Quality decline from earlier versions
I am extremely disappointed with my Dricore purchase. I installed a Dricore subfloor about 15 years ago. Recently I discovered mold in the basement and had to rip up 1/2 the subfloor. I purchased new panels only to discover they are inferior to my old panels. The are noticeably thinner and when installed, there is about 1/8" difference in height. Either I will have to remove the rest of the old panels or use some sort of filler to slope the height difference. It's very easy to feel and see the difference in quality between the old and new panels. The old panels had a protective coating on the wood. This is missing from the new panels.

New tiles are garbage - avoid
Like others have mentioned - DO NOT Buy this product anymore, they are charging the same price, for a far inferior product. The pictures shown feature a dark smooth OSB layer, the new stuff is a low grade light color that is rough textured. The locking joints are way thinner now can't even support being tapped without flaking. Stop supporting these companies that switch to an inferior product to charge the consumer the same (or more money).

                                Poor quality product
Drycore used to be 3/4 inch thick with a good premium grade oriented strand pressed board. It's only 1/2 inch thick and a very uneven surface which will not work well with any vinyl flooring as the roughness will show through. To bad Drycore thought cost saving by making the product cheaper with inferior grade board and a thinner profile was a smart move. Explain to me when any flooring less than 3/4 inch is the standard used in building. Work great for walls but flooring it is not adequate.
