You may just have to do it like you would do a floor, only why wouldn't you just rip out the carpet? Too much work? What's under the carpet now? Just wood or concrete already? Or something else?

Can you install Dricore over Asbestos floor. this floor is in the basement. It is solid, not crumbling.
As long as there is no damage to the current floor. No chips or cracks. if the floor is in good condition the Dricore can be installed over top.

Can it be used on wood subfloor? I have an environmentally controlled shed sitting 1 foot off the ground, and the floor condensates in the winter from the cold.
Use 1”rigid foam and 2 layers of 1/2 plywood on the bias. This subfloor has an r value of around 1. You should get R 7 or so w the 1” rigid foam and plywood.
