"Smoke beast"
I've done a few hot and low and slow cooks on the 1052B. Here's my take on it. Pros‐ Tons of space with the 3 tier racks Controller is very easy to use Both meat probes that came with the grill are accurate The grill is VERY accurate. I tested the ambient temp with two other ambient probes and the grill was within 10 degrees. Very impressive. Grill comes up to temp very fast on start up No real hot spots Smokes pretty good when set at 225 or below Cons- No shelf space Small hopper Heat deflector has warped after maybe 8 cooks At the end of the day I would totally reccomend this smoker to anyone. It does the job very well and for it's price point it's definitely a bargain. I added a front shelf, a gasket in the lid, and upgraded the exhaust stack. Runs like a champ!
Smoke Beast 10502B
I originally had a ZPG-5502G for alittle over 3 years. Absolutely, loved it. Still in great shape and condition. I gave that to a close friend. Only reason I made this purchase was to upgrade the size. I try to do a lot and the other, I just didn't have the room. I'm a Z-Grill fan. Wouldn't purchase anything else. Very pleased with both smokers I've owned.

This being my first pellet grill I am very impressed, I have always grilled over hard wood grills, charcoal and propane, but this pellet grill is very simple to use and great results highly recommended.

EASY!
I am a first time smoker and this unit has made me look like a veteran chef! I tried spare ribs first which turned out good. I did learn about the units hot spot on this cook. my next adventure was a pork **** which turned out awesome! Then I cooked a few steaks at a higher 450 degree temperature, again a solid cook. Then on to chicken wings, I followed a recipe to the letter and ended up with good crispy wings! I am a happy camper!
Great with some areas for improvement
I went from a premium brand pellet grill to the 10502B to jump on the buy 1 get 10 train, and not disappointed. Pros: - Gets up to temp quick, and keeps consistent temps - Pellet delivery is smooth without issues - the heat deflector is easy to cover in foil for easy cleaning - controller is very easy to use - Lots of grill space Cons: - tends to overshoot temp on initial startup by 30+ degrees - ash easy cleanup feature is useless. it's faster to vacuum it out when you vacuum out the fire pot anyway - options in the controller are basic. No Cold Smoke option, and no option to select a Smoke level like my previous grill
Very impressed
I was skeptical of switching to a pellet smoker since I’ve done charcoal and log my whole life. I have to admit I’m very impressed with the amount of pellets used the amount of ash and lack thereof. Cooked a 10 lb but at 225 for 4 hrs wrapped in parchment paper and foil for the last 5 and the meat was so flavorful I can’t go back.
