Why We Like The Marmot PreCip Eco Jacket

The Marmot PreCip Eco Jacket has become a fan favorite for a reason, boasting incredibly breathable waterproofing for trekking in wet weather. The NanoPro waterproof membrane blocks wind and water while allowing air to circulate, so whether we're pushing towards an alpine summit or walking in swampy forests, we stay cool on the move. The sealed seams keep moisture from sneaking in to our baselayers, and the adjustable hem and cuffs create a barrier from sideways blowing rain. In warm weather, we can unzip the underarm vents to allow hot air to escape, and the adjustable hood stows away into the collar for those moments when the sun breaks through the clouds, and we're rewarded with stunning views.

MUST BUY

This jacket is perfect. Honestly shocked at how well it does with the reasonable price.

PreCip Eco Jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent Quality, attention to detail, light weight, pit-zips for ventilation (important here in Florida), and looks stylish. 4.5 Stars

Very slim cut

Familiarity:
I've used it once or twice and have initial impressions

XL

I've been wearing a previous version of the precip jacket for the last few years and love it but it's started shedding the inner membrane and is no longer water repellant. My current jacket is a size XL and fits great. Lots of room to move around. I bought a new precip jacket recently from backcountry and was super dissapointed when I got it. The fit is VERY narrow in the shoulders. If you have wide shoulders, this jacket is not for you. Backcountry claims "regular" fit, but this jacket is very slim. The size XL I bought actually fits my wife in the shoulders. I guess she can wear it. I'm sad. Why is all new clothing cut so slim. Do people no longer use their arms?

Great jacket

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love this jacket. I had one for over ten years and finally destroyed it because I wear the heck out of it. Very durable unless you wear it to do things you shouldn't wear it to do. Great jacket. Light weight, it breathes, durable and looks great. Definite buy.

Well thought out with solid construction.

Second one of these I’ve owned. It’s a well thought out rain jacket that’s solid yet not heavy or bulky. I got many years out of the first one and expect the same for this.

Bring back the bright colors

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my favorite rain coat/cold weather wind breaker for bike riding.I have used one for years and just had to replace mine. I would give it a 5 but they no longer have any bright high visibility colors. Love the zipper pits, Velcro wrists and the storable hood.
